Set within the rugged splendour of the African bush and cliffs as
backdrop, Thirsty Falls offers spectacular views and absolute privacy in
a tranquil environment. Thirsty Falls derives its name from the many mountain
waterfalls above in the cliffs that happen during Highveld thunderstorms, the
waters of which "vanish" into the underground caverns.

Thirsty Falls Guest Farm practices and applies the principles of permaculture.
A diversity of trees, herbs, plants and grasses grow together, encouraging
the natural eco systems of nature to co- exist, without the harmful use of chemicals.

The swimming pool has been converted to a natural water pool , with separate wetland area.
Water plants are embedded in this wetland area within the surface of the water. There is a length
alongside the plant area , for swimming . These plant root systems keep the water clean.
Water birdlife is now attracted to this area .

We had a wonderful stay at Thirsty Falls. The Protea house has a beautiful view. The house was very well equipped with everything that you need. Absolutely loved the spa bath! Only suggestion is facilities for outside dining. Other than that, a magical place!

Weekend break

I stayed at Thirsty Falls Guest Farm for 3 days on a spiritual retreat. What a lovely and quite place. Jenny and her husband make you feel at home from the time you arrive. Very clean and quite place, which leaves you rejuvenated. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs to some quite time with loved ones.

Hidden Gem

We loved thirst falls! It was a very beautiful location, quiet and just far enough from the city! The rooms were excellent and very very neat! It was truly a relaxing experience. Thank you very much Thirsty Falls!

Thirsty Falls stay

Our stay at Thirsty Falls was wonderful and relaxing. Each chalet is nice and private, clean and comfortable. Allan went out of his way to book us a game drive in a nearby game park, as well as accommodate our unexpected late arrival! A nice chilled time away from the big city!
