The name ‘Thirsty Falls’

Thirsty Falls country mountain retreat is situated against the slopes of the ancient Magaliesberg mountain range. The natural surrounds of the african bush with mountain cliffs as backdrop, allows for privacy, in the tranquil surrounds with spectacular views.

The name  ‘ Thirsty Falls ‘ , is derived from the many rock collections of rain water that happen after a Highveld storm which then vanish into underground caverns. As this water moves through the caverns, we distinctly hear the gushing of the water, but don’t actually get to see any of the falls created.

Our Natural Water Pool

The Eco natural water swimming pool allows for swimming and has a separate wetland area.
Water plants are embedded in this wetland area within the surface of the water. These plant root systems keep the water clean, so no need to add harmful chemicals ! Water bird life is now attracted to this area.
